Semi-Private Training

Semi-private training is a unique blend of individualized attention and group dynamics, providing several benefits for those who prefer this training approach. The main 2 differences between Small Group Training and Semi-Private Training are 1) semi private has individualized programming and 2) Semi private has up to 4 clients max assigned to a coach. While semi-private training involves small groups, the trainer-to-client ratio is still low, allowing for more personalized attention compared to larger group settings. This means that participants can receive individualized feedback, form correction, and tailored advice from the trainer. Some of the other benefits are: Schedule flexibility, competition and teamwork, motivation and support and cost effectiveness.

Small Group Training

Small group class personal training typically involves a fitness instructor or personal trainer working with a small group of clients, often ranging from 6-10 people. In this setting, each participant receives personalized attention and coaching, with the trainer tailoring the exercises (progressing and regressing each exercise accordingly) and intensity to meet the individual needs and fitness levels of each person in the group. Typically, everyone is doing the same workout and no customizations (aside necessary regressions and progressions). This type of training can offer several benefits, including personalized instruction, social support from fellow participants, and a more cost-effective option compared to one-on-one personal training or semi private training.. Additionally, the group setting can provide a supportive and motivating environment for participants to push themselves and stay committed to their fitness goals. Small group class personal training sessions may cover a variety of exercises, including strength training, cardiovascular workouts, flexibility and mobility exercises, and more. The specific focus and structure of the sessions can vary based on the goals and preferences of the participants and the expertise of the trainer.

1 on 1 Personal Training

1 on 1 personal training can offer several benefits over group training, depending on your individual fitness goals, preferences, and needs. With 1 on 1 training, you have the undivided attention of a personal trainer who can focus exclusively on your form, technique, and individual needs. This personalized attention allows the trainer to tailor the workout specifically to your goals and abilities. Some of the benefits of 1 on 1 personal training include: Faster progress, accountability and motivation, customized programming and a higher focus on a specific skill/goal. While 1 on 1 personal training offers these benefits, it’s important to note that group training also has its advantages, such as social interaction, lower cost, and a sense of community. The choice between 1 on 1 training and group training ultimately depends on your individual preferences, fitness goals, and what type of workout environment motivates you the most.
